To Express our Thanks

Although this letter is slightly overdue, I hope it still expresses our full thanks for the care given to my Mom while hospitalized.

Our mothers transfer from rehab back to the hospital was on august 3 for a 1 week stay on your Surgery unit.  The staff was most accommodating for the family and made us feel welcome, informed and provided great care while Mom was there.

I am a registered nurse, inactive in hospital work but know the tremendous sphere of nursing ad all it entails.  Shortage of manpower is today's strain on those who are working but want you to know that watch one always give their all and some quite a bit more.  At all times, we were greeted with smiles and in a friendly manner.  Any encounters or discussions with nurses were never rushed but rather informative and showed a deep caring on their part.

The whole unit itself seems to have a pride in whatever they did including housekeeping and dietary.  My family felt very fortunate to have had Mom on this unit.  They watched her carefully as many times she was confused making sure she was safe.  Her age of almost 95 had us concerned but I feel the staff did an outstanding job in caring for Mom and I wanted to let you know.

Many times things are taken for granted or a thank you is expressed and we move o.  I did not want this to happen for this unit since they really went above and beyond at all times.  They are a very special team and need to be compliments.
